# Palette runs your AI agents. We share what they make.

Palette Desktop is a Mac app where your team runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Mistral Vibe on shared folders and reviews every change. artifact.guru is where finished work goes out: one link, many formats, email invites.

## Pick Palette if

- Non-engineers on your team need Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI without a terminal.
- You want to review every change an agent makes before it lands in the shared folder.
- Readers should be able to comment on the HTML pages you share.

## Pick artifact.guru if

- You share PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, React or zipped sites, not only HTML pages.
- You want to invite people by email and see who opened it, when and how often.
- You want one link you can switch between private, email invites, secret code and public.

## Palette and artifact.guru, row by row

| Question | Palette | artifact.guru |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Publish from AI agents | Runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Mistral Vibe and its own agent in its Mac app | Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok and any MCP app, over OAuth; no API keys |
| Upload it yourself | Works on a local or synced folder; you share HTML files from the Mac app | Drag in files, or a whole folder for a built site or React app |
| What opens in the browser | Shares HTML pages; the app also previews Markdown, PDF, images and slides | HTML, React, Markdown, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images, diagrams, zipped sites |
| Who can open a link | Public share links that stay live 1, 7, 30 or 60 days, or a custom window | Private, public or secret code on every plan; email invites (up to 50) on paid plans |
| Who opened it | Not documented | Paid plans: names on email links; counts, sources and devices on the rest |
| Updates and versions | Resharing keeps the same link; saved folder changes have history and restore | Every change is a new version at the same link; roll back any time (Free keeps 3) |
| Your own domain | Not documented | Your subdomain for public and secret-code links, from $12 a month |
| Team workspace | Unlimited users; teams share a workspace folder via Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud | Team: one workspace, admins and members, a project per client, comments you can assign |
| Price | Free €0/month (200 credits); Team €149/month flat for unlimited users, intro deal; excl. VAT | Free $0; Individual $12/month; Team $30/month for 3 editors, then $8 each |

## Where Palette is good

- One Mac app runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Mistral Vibe or Palette’s own agent, so non-engineers get agents without a terminal.
- Each session is a sandboxed copy of the folder: you review a diff of every change before it saves back, and can restore earlier versions.
- Shared HTML pages take comments from people who don’t use Palette, and the Team plan is one flat price for unlimited users.

## Where artifact.guru is different

- artifact.guru isn’t where agents do the work. It’s where the result goes: Claude, ChatGPT (Business, Enterprise or Edu), Codex, Gemini CLI and Grok publish to it over MCP, approved once in the browser.
- It opens more than HTML: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, React components, Markdown with Mermaid and Marp slides, Excalidraw and zipped sites. The original stays downloadable.
- Every link starts private. Switch it to email invites, an 8-character secret code that can expire, or public, and the link stays the same.
- Email links show who opened, when and how often, and who hasn’t yet. On paid plans, public and code links can live on your own subdomain.

## Moving over from Palette

1. Keep Palette for the agent work. When a page or file is done, drag it from the shared folder into artifact.guru.
2. Or connect artifact.guru to Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI once and ask the agent to publish.
3. Pick who can open it, invite people by email, and send the link.

## Questions

### Do Palette and artifact.guru do the same job?

No. Palette is where agents edit your team’s files, with review before anything saves. artifact.guru is where you share the finished file through a link you control. You can use both.

### Can readers comment on what I share?

On Palette, yes: shared HTML pages take comments. On artifact.guru, people you invite by email can comment in a panel beside the artifact, and your agent can answer them; visitors on public or secret-code links can’t. You also see who opened an email link, when and how often.

### Which costs less?

They price different jobs. Palette is €0 on Free and €149/month flat on Team, for unlimited users and unlimited Palette credits. artifact.guru is free for 3 live links, $12/month for Individual and $30/month for a Team with 3 editors.

### Does Palette run on Windows?

Not yet. Palette Desktop is Mac only, and Windows is in development. artifact.guru links open in the browser.
