HTMLSave alternative · Simple static HTML hosting
Outgrown HTMLSave’s character limits? Let your AI publish here.
HTMLSave is a cheap, no-fuss way to put small HTML, CSS and JS projects online, with a browser editor and extension. artifact.guru takes what your AI makes over MCP, in many more formats and bigger files, and starts every link private.

- Your pages fetch JSON or text files from the same subdomain.
Pick artifact.guru if
- Your AI should publish straight from the chat over MCP instead of you pasting code.
- You share images, PDFs, Word or PowerPoint files, not just small text files.
- Links should start private, with email invites that show who opened them.

Where HTMLSave is good
- Premium costs $3 a month, billed yearly, for up to 10 sites that don’t expire.
- A Chrome, Edge and Firefox extension lets you paste, edit and publish from a side panel next to your AI chat.
- Hosted pages carry no ads, banners or interstitials, and the service has run since June 2019.
Where artifact.guru is different
- Your AI publishes over MCP from Claude, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok and other MCP apps. You approve once in the browser; nothing to copy into a side panel.
- What your AI makes opens in the browser: HTML, React, Markdown with Mermaid, PDF, Word, PowerPoint and images, up to 100 MB a file.
- Links start private. Invite up to 50 people by email and see who opened it, when and how often, or share a secret code or a public link.
- Every publish or edit is a new version at the same link, and you can roll back any time.
Moving over from HTMLSave
- 1Collect each site’s HTML, CSS and JS files from your computer or your AI chat.
- 2Drag the folder into artifact.guru so the site becomes one artifact, or ask your AI to publish it over MCP.
- 3Choose who can open the link, then replace your htmlsave.net links wherever you shared them.
