Notion alternative · Docs, wiki and project workspace
Notion is for writing together. This is for what your AI built.
Notion is a flexible workspace for docs, wikis and projects, with one-click Sites and an MCP server. artifact.guru opens the HTML pages, React apps and decks your AI makes as they are, and shows who opened each link.

Pick Notion if
- Your team writes, plans and tracks projects in one place, with databases and comments.
- You want a page live on the web in one click, with a free notion.site address.
- You want AI agents that read and write your workspace pages over Notion MCP.
Pick artifact.guru if
- Your AI made an HTML page, React prototype or slide deck that should run as is.
- You want to invite people by email and see who opened it, and who hasn’t.
- You want your own subdomain included from $12 a month, not a per-domain add-on.

Where Notion is good
- Docs, wikis, databases and project boards live in one workspace, with live co-editing, comments and permissions down to the page.
- Any page becomes a Notion Site in one click, with a notion.site address and search indexing even on Free, and edits go live on their own.
- Notion MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor to read and write pages, and guests are free: 10 on Free, unlimited on paid plans.
Where artifact.guru is different
- HTML pages, React components and zipped sites run as real pages, not embeds, in a sandbox on a separate address. Markdown can carry Mermaid, Excalidraw and Marp slides.
- Invite up to 50 email addresses per artifact and see who opened it, when, how often, and who hasn’t. Your team’s own opens don’t count.
- Every artifact starts private. Switch between private, email invites, a secret code that can expire and public at any time, and the link stays the same.
- Public and secret-code links can use your own subdomain on paid plans from $12 a month: add two DNS records and the certificate is issued for you.
Moving over from Notion
- 1Keep notes, wikis and plans in Notion. Ask your agent to publish the HTML, deck or prototype to artifact.guru over MCP.
- 2Paste the artifact link into the Notion page as a bookmark, so the team finds it next to the notes.
- 3Pick who can open it: private, email invites, secret code or public. Change it later without changing the link.
Questions about Notion and artifact.guru
Can I password-protect a Notion page?
Notion’s help center says not at the moment and suggests inviting people who have Notion accounts. artifact.guru has no custom passwords either: its secret-code links ask for an 8-character code that can expire in 7 or 30 days, and email links open only for the invited addresses.
Can my AI agent publish to Notion?
Yes, as Notion pages. Notion MCP lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP apps read and write pages with your permissions, and its ntn CLI is in public beta. On artifact.guru, the agent publishes the file it built, such as HTML, React, Markdown or slides, and it opens as is at its own link.
Can I use my own domain?
Notion Sites can connect your domain on paid plans with a custom domain add-on: $10 per month per domain, or $8 a month billed yearly. artifact.guru puts public and secret-code links on a subdomain like docs.yourcompany.com on any paid plan.
Do we have to leave Notion?
No. Keep Notion for writing and planning together: artifact.guru has a comments panel on each artifact, but no co-editing or inline comments. Use artifact.guru for the AI-made pages, decks and prototypes you share outside the team.
