Where Papermark is good

  • Page-by-page analytics, email gates, passwords and expiry come with every plan, the free one included.
  • Its MCP server, API and CLI let Claude or ChatGPT upload documents, create tracked links, build data rooms and pull analytics, on Business and up.
  • It is open source with a self-host option, and the Data Rooms plan adds NDA agreements, dynamic watermarks and visitor groups.

Where artifact.guru is different

  • HTML pages, React components, Markdown with Mermaid and Marp slides, and zipped or folder sites open in the browser, next to PDF, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Email links open only for the people you invite. Each signs in with that address, and you see who opened it, when, how often, and who hasn’t opened yet.
  • Individual is $12 a month for unlimited links and versions, your own domain and email invites; Team is $30 for 3 editors.
  • HTML, React and sites run in a sandbox on a separate address, with no access to the viewer’s account.
